Early in the morning we will drive to the Sacred Valley, after some time we will get in Pumamarca. Is an ancient Incan archaeological site located in the Cusco region of Peru. The site is believed to have been built during the late 15th century and was likely used as a fortress or storage facility during the Inca Empire. Pumamarca is situated on a hilltop and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Andean mountains and valleys. The site features well-preserved terraces, walls, and buildings made of stone, along with a series of interconnected water channels that are still functional today. Visiting Pumamarca offers a fascinating glimpse into the history and engineering prowess of the Inca civilization.
After crossing farming areas and stunning views of this valley we will arrive in Ollantaytambo. It is home to an impressive Incan archaeological site that features a massive stone fortress, terraces, and temples. The site was likely constructed during the 15th century and played an important role in the Inca resistance against the Spanish conquistadors. Today, visitors can explore the ruins and learn about the rich history of the Inca civilization.
